Nicholas, born in 2007, is a registered citizen of the Cherokee Nation. Since 2020, he has been working with both a camera and a computer to create engaging stories for some of the top models, and related businesses, on Instagram. Beyond portraitures, Nicholas creates fine art focused on the stories of the Indigenous people of North America.
Nicholas uses photographs and a complex blend of visual imaging programs to achieve his creative fine art portraitures. While appreciative of traditional portrait photography, Nicholas prefers storytelling to point-and-click. He composites multiple images like a conductor would sections of an orchestra. Many photographers spend minutes retouching a photograph; whereas Nicholas spends days: planning, shooting, layering (sometimes with over 40 layers), and finally applying finishing touches.
Nicholas is studious, maintaining a weighted GPA of 4.6 (most classes being honors), and values his community—working with both Boy Scouts and JROTC to better local environments. While finishing his journey to Eagle Scout, he also works in and out of school with the JROTC program where he maintains multiple leadership roles, including being a class commander.
Outside of school and extracurricular activities, his attention is spent on playing video games, hanging out with friends, creating 3D art, photography, and traveling with his family. While visiting top art museums in both the US and the UK, Nicholas has been exposed to some of the greatest art pieces in the world and hopes to one day have his art displayed among them.
My art depicts a story; a retelling of Native American fables.
